Well, OUtopia didn’t work out. The OU were paying for it, and decided they couldn’t afford it. It might have been linked to how many people were using it, but I think they were saving money full stop. Well, fees have gone up, and I suppose they couldn’t justify frivolity. Only it would have been good for them to recognise that Uni is about socialising too.
Anyway, a potted history. We voted for a name for the island, and my name won. OUTOPIA. Yay. It wasn’t well used, but a few of us had parties, treasure hunts, quizzes etc. And we all had different houses, many built by residents. I thought this wouldn’t work, as originally we had a really pretty coordinated English village. But it looked good.
Well, the site was demolished, and although I said I would never spend much money on SL I really wanted a place of my own, so I succumbed, and bought land on CQ’s island. There are several OU bods there, and NO DRAMA. All the people are really nice. (There were a couple of drama queens in Outopia). I have a plot and house, and I also have a Skygarden which is private, and I can dress up and down, tryingout clothes here in privacy.
Since the early days I’ve improved on my avatar (this is Aileen speaking, not Titiana) and can’t believe how newbie like I was originally. I’m going to get Titiana to post photos of herself, her house, garden and skygarden soon. Also, some photos of the party we had yesterday.
